Northallerton Town Council
Northallerton is the county town of North Yorkshire, and the biggest market town in Hambleton district; we have a population of almost 16,000.
Northallerton is a three tier authority. The first tier is North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC) being the largest, second is Hambleton District Council (HDC) followed by the third tier, the Town Council, which has four wards: Central, North East, North West and South West.
The Town Council is the authority nearest to the people and our aim is to represent the electorate of Northallerton and improve the quality of life and well being. To do this we work in partnership with a variety of local bodies, this includes; our parent authorities, the local police, Broadacres and other community groups.
The Town Council headquarters are situated in the heart of the town in the Town Hall, built in 1872. The hall is available for hire, and houses five shop units.
