The Mayor at the Pumpkin Open Day at Riverford Organic Home Farm in Newby Wiske on Sunday October 24.  Cllr Anderson said that she was delighted at such a wonderful turn-out of visitors on the day and that it was a great opportunity especially for children to see how organic food is grown.  Apart from the organic vegetables, there was also an array of other stalls at Home Farm, including apple-making, organic beers, cheese and chutney tasting, drumming, story telling, face-painting and pumpkin carving, as well as lots of tasty snacks.

The Mayor attended the official opening of Archers Ice Cream Parlour in Central Arcade in Northallerton in December.  Archers make all their icecream fresh on the premises, and is a welcome addition to the town.
